As an HIV Case Manager at ARE, I am committed to making a positive impact on the lives of those affected by HIV. Our work goes beyond individual care—it ripples through the entire community and every day we continue to grow!

As Case Managers, we act as bridges between clients and essential services. We address medical needs, including HIV treatment and prevention, social services, substance use, employment, and housing. By providing comprehensive support, we empower clients to lead healthier lives and by meeting the diverse needs of those affected by HIV, we contribute to a stronger, more resilient community.

Viral suppression is key! When clients achieve undetectable viral loads, they not only improve their own health but also prevent HIV transmission to their partners. The concept, Undetectable=Untransmittable (U=U) has a profound impact on community health. 30 years ago, I wouldn't have dreamed we would get here. SCIENCE!

You can help! I heard you ask "how?", so here we go!
1. Donate to our organization and support our ongoing growth that impacts innumerable lives. All of our services are free, so we depend on grants and donors like you!
2. Use your voice! I know you know how! Educate others - Knowledge is power, and awareness reduces stigma.
3. Advocate: Support policies that fund organizations like ARE. These funds enable us to provide critical services.
4. Be Compassionate: Show empathy to those living with HIV. Your understanding and kindness matter.
