It is hard to put into words how much ARE means to me but I will try. I came to this organization almost 5 years ago after many years working in DV and SA. It has been a life changing and amazing experience that has taught me so much about the meaning of resilience. The staff here are amazing. They have put so much work into caring for individuals impacted by HIV. I have watched individuals in our community get newly diagnosed with HIV and immediately receive care from the amazing staff here, get access to medication and find the support they need to thrive. Within a couple months, those individuals would be undetectable and on a path to live a long and healthy life.

Last year, our staff came up with a set of values. My two favorite are:
- We center justice in all the work we do. The staff here are consistently working to end stigma and facilitate collective healing to transform the systems that seek to oppress our clients.
- We are not bound by convention. The success of our programs is the result of intentional creativity and a willingness to embrace change.

These values are present in the addition of the new LGBTQ+ Center and the comprehensive harm reduction program!!

I am amazed at how far we have come and I am so excited for the future of this agency. I tell you all of this because I want you to be a part of it! We are headed into an amazing future and we are so excited to have our partners and supporters along for the ride. Please consider donating to ARE so that we can continue to add new life saving and transformative programs!

It is hard to put into words how much ARE means to me but I will try. I came to this organization almost 5 years ago after many years working in DV and SA.
